Lord Selkirk Park Community Renewal
NECRC supports and assists the Lord Selkirk Park neighbourhood through the Community Advisory Committee. Over the past year, the Committee, through its partner agencies has been recognized as an effective advocacy body, and has planned and organized community events, which allowed community to identify gaps in services and to participate in their community.
The Committee is a strong network of agencies that effectively addresses community issues as they arise. The agencies include Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre, Ndinawe Youth Resource Centre, North End Point Douglas Parent/Child Centered Coalition, Winnipeg Committee for Safety, North End Justice Solutions (Youth Justice Committee), Turtle Island Neighbourhood Centre, Lord Selkirk Park Community Advisory Committee, North End Safety Network, Lord Selkirk Aboriginal Women’s Group, Indian and Métis Friendship Centre, and Lord Selkirk Park Development’s Citizens on Patrol Program (COPP).
